J. W. (Jahn) Ballard is a facilitator and learning designer who is an evangelist for Operations Accounting, a new form of financials that operating people can use as a daily business tool. He is the Designer of the Financial Dashboard (www.financialdashboard.com), and is the primary distributor of the Financial Scoreboard (www.financialscoreboard.com). He is a principal of Performance Management Partners (PMP), a firm that uses the Scoreboard and Dashboard as tools for creating financial measurement and reporting systems links to operating plans using a custom-designed business system model. PMP’s primary markets are Fortune 2000 business units, plus small and medium-sized businesses 25 million and above. He also trains CFO’s, Controllers and CPA’s in Executive Finance for State CPA Societies.
Jan is the founding director of The Commons: an Institute of the Whole (www.commons.org ). His passion is creating working and learning environments where everyone can contribute their talents by building shared language, images, and business plans among and between different specialties and disciplines.
